Job Opening - Web Developer

Do you give a damn? No really, do you? Because we do. And we’ve been working really hard to create positive world change everyday for over 10 years.
If you’re looking to get rich, this isn’t the place. You’ll find cubicles and bloated salaries somewhere else. At Firebelly you’ll find compassion, honesty and a boss who is so damn thoughtful, she might make you cry.
We’re great at what we do and you must be too. We care about the environment, our neighbors and every human we met. We’re not religious (but we aren’t scared of people who are). We enjoy indie rock, electro-pop and hip hop. And of course a good ac/dc song every now and again. We’re not like other companies. In fact our business model doesn’t even make sense. But somehow it works. And works well.
You need to be confident, self-motivated and an independent learner. You’re on your own here. You’ll run the tech side of things all by yourself. We’ll put a lot of trust in you. And we’ll want to know what you think. You need to be able to communicate to us, our clients and possibly to large groups occasionally (we are often asked to lecture).
Of course you need to have an keen eye. We are designers for goodness sake. We expect perfection or at least ideas on how to meet in the middle. We want you to tell us what’s possible. But don’t bullshit us, because we’ll know it. To constantly improve on what you did last time and to always look for ways of raising the bar for everyone around you. We’ll count on you and you can count on us.
Life is too short to work with people and for people who aren’t nice, genuine and decent. Firebelly was started on these simple principals it remains the core focus of who we are.
