I love food, and I love cooking it. Who doesn't?
There's nothing better than a huge Thanksgiving feast – mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turke- ew. Turkey? No thanks. There's nothing better than a huge vegetarian Thanksgiving feast. There are plenty of great things you can make that are meatless, and twice as delicious. If you're stuggling for some last minute ideas, some of my favorite food blogs have some excellent Thanksgiving recipes.
101 Cookbooks has a bunch of great recipes, including Roasted Pumpkin Salad, Carmelized Tofu, Maple Grilled Tempeh, and Kale and Olive Oil Mashed Potatoes.
Another favorite, Fat Free Vegan, has a great post from last year, and a recipe for an amazing looking Double-Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake.
VeganYumYum also has a great Thanksgiving post, with a Seitan Roulade with Chestnut Stuffing recipe that is making me drool at my desk.
If you're looking for some more desert-y recipes, besure to check out have cake, will travel!
Turkey or no turkey, happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday, Dawn emailed the studio a link to a really interesting article by the International Herald Tribune examing the impending global recession and its effects on the design industry. It also identified key ways design can fight and survive economic downturn.
As President-Elect Obama announces his all-star economic advisory team and New Deal Part 2, Firebelly's been thinking a lot about what it will mean for our industry in the coming months and years.
I'd love to hear how students who are about to start their design career feel as well as words of wisdom from industry vets who've designed long enough to have witnessed hard times before. Post your hopes + fears in the comments....

If you are in the area, you can drop off at our studio — otherwise, please send them yourself. We are closed on Monday for MLK, but anytime on Tuesday would be great. If you think you won’t be able to get them here on Tuesday, then please send them to the Miami address. Thanks so much!
